Variety the Children’s Charity of Pittsburgh is committed to providing wheelchairs and other nobility equipment for children, 18 years of age and under, with mental and physical disabilities, who reside in Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Lawrence, Washington and Westmoreland Counties.

The flagship project of Variety is Camp Variety for Kids, an annual two-week summer day camp program at no cost for children with special needs and their siblings. It provides special needs kids, ages 6 to 18, with a high-quality outdoor camping experience and gives parents an opportunity for respite. Parents and caregivers are welcome and encouraged to participate.

Variety believes that its role is to make its special needs children feel valued as individuals and as part of the community. Emphasis is placed on children’s abilities and not their disabilities.
